february 29 2008 12:42 pst things got busy here. thelegality took off- we've been frontpaged somewhere major three weeks in a row, and each time it's taken the site down for at least 20 minutes or so. right now i'm working on a theme that will make fewer database calls so that perhaps we can withstand the traffic better next time.
in other news, it's starting to look like springtime here. it was sunny and sixty degrees for a good part of last week. i actually played 18 holes of golf, and we managed to finish before it got totally dark. the ground was very very wet, but winter rules are in effect so that wasn't as much of a problem as it might otherwise have been. i'm very excited because i sent a resume in to the kind folks who work at google's legal department, and i'm hoping that they might have some use for me this summer. and the lawn is waking up- it's supposed to rain again tonight and tomorrow, so i mowed the grass to even it out a little and spread some fertilizer around the front yard and at the base of all the roses. if i have time this weekend, i might try to butcher some of the shrubs in the yard so that they look a little less unruly. the forsythia over by the garage is just beginning to bloom, and there are huge flower buds all over the rhodadendrons.
this afternoon i have an interview with some folks at the uoig, a student-run asset management group that operates out of the business school. so lots of stuff going on... just didn't take the time this month to write about it here.
